ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2016-17


1. TRINING ON HANDLOOM & HANDICRAFTS:

Arunachal Pradesh is a very rich in handloom and handicrafts. Each tribe has its own & distinctive products. All these are colorful and attractive. The people of this state are fond of handloom and handicraft work. The products are traditionally used by them as well as markets for earnings. The Society organized a camp on handloom and handicraft with the help of some experts in order to motivate people to focus on quality and quantity of the products and thereby make a good earning out of these cottage industries. The camp evoked good earning out of these cottage industries. The camp evoked good response. The programmer incurred an expenditure of Rs 136754/-


2. TRANING ON PROPAGATION FOR ORCHIDS:

Orchids have worldwide market. Arunachal Pradesh is rich in orchids. Different varieties of rare orchids are found in all parts of the state. They attract the foreigners. But due to lack of knowledge and awareness about this valuable gift of nature, the state could not reap the benefit thereof. Keeping this in mind, the society persuaded some experts and orchid lovers and organized a training camp to impart knowledge about different types of orchids and propagation there of A food number of participants attended the training camp and acquired knowledge about different varieties of orchids, their flowering seasons, condition for growth, propagation etc. The society incurred expenditure of Rs 121419/- for the training programmer.


3. ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS CAMP:

Our way of life largely depends and shaped by the environment we live in. protection of environment is essential for healthy and sound humans lives. But pollution created by the constant disposal of industrial and other wastes, destruction of forests etc. is threatening the balance of nature. Of late, the environmentalists have come forward to protects the earth’s environment. In keeping with this move, the society organized a camp to create general awareness among were planted and the people were motivated to preserve forests and population free source of water. The society incurred expenditure of Rs. 126638/- for the purpose.


4. ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMME:

Although perceptible improvement has been achieved in literacy rate in A.P after independence but the rural masses, by and large are still illiterate. Dropout rate is very high. The state is far behind its target to achieve universal functional literacy. With aim of educating adult persons, the society launched the captioned programme, which target the illiterates belonging to the age of 14 to 40 converging 5 villages. Adults education centers were established and educated volunteers were engaged to teach the intending pupils. Free learning materials were supplied. The programme incurred an expenditure of Rs 12417/-.
