ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2017-18


1. TRAINING ON THE HANDLOOMS & HANDUCRAFT:

Arunachal Pradesh is a very rich in handloom and handicrafts. Each tribe has its own & distinctive products. All these are colorful and attractive. The people of this state are fond of handloom and handicraft work. The products are traditionally used by them as well as markets for earnings. The Society organized a camp on handloom and handicraft with the help of some experts in order to motivate people to focus on quality and quantity of the products and thereby make a good earning out of these cottage industries. The camp evoked good earning out of these cottage industries. The camp evoked good response. The programmer incurred an expenditure of Rs 132417/-


2. TRAINING PROGRAMME ON AGRICULTURE PROMOTION:

Agriculture is the backbone of the state’s economy. People primarily depend on agriculture and horticulture for their living. But the age old method of cultivation is unable to meet the growing demand due to increase in population. Keeping this in mind, the society conduct a training camp with the help of resource person, this was participated by a larger number of cultivators. The participants were taught to use modern method of agriculture and horticulture. High-yielding variety seeds, pesticides etc. were distributed free of cost. The participants were also made aware of the various subsidized scheme and facilities available for the government. The society assured the farmer participants of their co-operative and assistance in marketing their produce. The programme incurred an expenditure of Rs 121635/-


3. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME:

In pursuit of the society’s objective of welfare of the society, intuited a programme on community Development. It covered various aspects that are essential for well being and total development of the society and community as a whole such as economic, social educational religious, health and hygiene aspects etc. The programme also aimed at motivating people towards unity, mutual co-operation and community service. A sum of Rs 124862/- was incurred on account of the programme.


4. CAMP ON HEALTH & HYGIENE:

“Health is wealth” – the saying goes. Hygienic leads to a healthy life. The state of Arunachal Pradesh is least development. People living in remote village are illiterate and ignorant about hygienic sanitation. They do not follow the health and hygienic norms. As a result they suffer from various ailments and diseases. Keeping this in mind, the society organizes a camp on the captioned subject and explained the virtue of proper sanitation and hygienic way of living to prevent diseases. Apart from demonstrations thorough photo slides, posters etc., the speaker covered a wide range of topics on sanitation, health and hygiene. The camp incurred an expenditure of Rs. 120461/-
